Casterton Secondary College has made an ongoing commitment to help all students, to strive to achieve the very best they can. Some students have lower literacy levels and would benefit greatly from individual attention. To achieve this we implement a program called Bridges, a literacy intervention program where trained volunteer tutors develop the reading, writing and spelling skills of individual students. Tutors work with students weekly and receive a great deal of satisfaction in helping a child to gain confidence and achieve at a higher level. Any community member is invited to participate in this valuable program.
